One of the most beautiful buildings in the world, the Taj Mahal, also known as one of the seven wonders of the world. 

 

The Taj Mahal is located near the city of Agra, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, and was built in the 17th century. An incredible architectural feat, its immortal beauty is nurtured by the ancient love between an emperor and his wife.

"There from his palace, from his window

admire that white tear

The Taj Mahal means "Crown of Palaces" and is a funeral monument for Mumtaz Mahal. 

 

Did you know that to build a monument as majestic as the Taj Mahal required the work of more than 20,000 men and 1,000 elephants?

It is said that, once the work was finished, they had their hands cut off so that they could never again design a similar construction anywhere.

One of the most fascinating things about the Taj Mahal is that it can take on more than 10 different shades of color, depending on the time of day and the incidence of light on it.

And this place has become one of the most visited and photographed tourist destinations in the world. More than three million tourists a year.
